    Interval valued intuitionistic (S,T)(S,T)-fuzzy HvH_v-submodules

    On the basis of the concept of the interval valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets introduced by K.Atanassov, the notion of interval valued intuitionistic fuzzy HvH_v-submodules of an HvH_v-module with respect to tt-norm TT and ss-norm SS is given and the characteristic properties are described. The homomorphic image and the inverse image are investigated.In particular, the connections between interval valued intuitionistic (S,T)(S,T)-fuzzy HvH_v-submodules and interval valued intuitionistic (S,T)(S,T)-fuzzy submodules are discussed

    Pinoresinol diglucoside exhibits protective effect on dexamethasone-induced osteoporosis in rats

    Purpose: To investigate the effect of pinoresinol diglucoside (PDG) on dexamethasone-induced osteoporosis in rats.Methods: Sixty Wistar rats were randomly and equally divided into normal, control, alendronate and PDG (10, 20 or 40 mg/kg) groups. Bone tissue parameters, including length, transverse diameter, weight, bone mineral content (BMC) and bone mineral density (BMD), were determined using vernier caliper, electronic balance and single photon bone mineral density meter. Serum biochemical indices, including Ca2+, inorganic phosphorus (IP), IL-6, TNF-α and alkaline phosphatase (ALP), were determined using colorimetry and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Osteoprotegerin (OPG) and receptor activator of nuclear factor-κB ligand (RANKL) proteins were detected by Western blot.Results: PDG (10, 20 or 40 mg/kg) increased significantly (p < 0.05 or 0.01) transverse diameter (3.64 – 3.79 vs. 3.31 mm), weight (0.73 – 0.78 vs. 0.67 g), BMC (0.16 – 0.23 vs. 0.12 g/cm), BMD (0.27 – 0.35 vs. 0.22 g/cm2) of right femur, serum Ca2+ level (2.16 – 2.39 vs. 1.94 mmol/L), and OPG level of left femur, compared with those in the control group. PDG (10, 20 or 40 mg/kg) reduced significantly (p < 0.05 or 0.01) serum IP (1.34 – 1.14 vs. 1.76 mmol/L), IL-6 (103.25 – 95.38 vs. 108.74 ng/L), TNF-α (87.46 – 82.05 vs. 92.38 ng/L), ALP (334.79 – 276.32 vs. 486.45 U/L) levels or activities, and RANKL level of left femur, compared with those in the control group.Conclusion: PDG exhibits a protective effect on dexamethasone-induced osteoporosis by increasing bone mass and regulating bone metabolism.     Low-energy Scattering of (D∗Dˉ∗)±(D^{*}\bar{D}^{*})^\pm System and the Resonance-like Structure Zc(4025)Z_c(4025)

    In this paper, low-energy scattering of the (D∗Dˉ∗)±(D^{*}\bar{D}^{*})^\pm meson system is studied within L\"uscher's finite-size formalism using Nf=2N_{f}=2 twisted mass gauge field configurations. With three different pion mass values, the ss-wave threshold scattering parameters, namely the scattering length a0a_0 and the effective range r0r_0, are extracted in JP=1+J^P=1^+ channel. Our results indicate that, in this particular channel, the interaction between the two vector charmed mesons is weakly repulsive in nature hence do not support the possibility of a shallow bound state for the two mesons, at least for the pion mass values being studied. This study provides some useful information on the nature of the newly discovered resonance-like structure Zc(4025)Z_c(4025) observed in various experiments.Comment: 11 pages, 6 figures. arXiv admin note: substantial text overlap with arXiv:1403.131

    A Lattice Study of (Dˉ1D∗)±(\bar{D}_1 D^{*})^\pm Near-threshold Scattering

    In this exploratory lattice study, low-energy near threshold scattering of the (Dˉ1D∗)±(\bar{D}_1 D^{*})^\pm meson system is analyzed using lattice QCD with Nf=2N_f=2 twisted mass fermion configurations. Both s-wave (JP=0−J^P=0^-) and p-wave (JP=1+J^P=1^+) channels are investigated. It is found that the interaction between the two charmed mesons is attractive near the threshold in both channels. This calculation provides some hints in the searching of resonances or bound states around the threshold of (Dˉ1D∗)±(\bar{D}_1 D^{*})^\pm system.Comment: 20 pages, 15 figures, matches the version on PR

    Two Photon Decays of ηc\eta_c from Lattice QCD

    We present an exploratory lattice study for the two-photon decay of ηc\eta_c using Nf=2N_f=2 twisted mass lattice QCD gauge configurations generated by the European Twisted Mass Collaboration. Two different lattice spacings of a=0.067a=0.067fm and a=0.085a=0.085fm are used in the study, both of which are of physical size of 2fmfm. The decay widths are found to be 1.025(5)1.025(5)KeV for the coarser lattice and 1.062(5)1.062(5)KeV for the finer lattice respectively where the errors are purely statistical. A naive extrapolation towards the continuum limit yields Γ≃1.122(14)\Gamma\simeq 1.122(14)KeV which is smaller than the previous quenched result and most of the current experimental results.
